About LAS
Liberal Arts School (LAS) is a Ministry-inspected Ontario private school. LAS was found with the mission to bring high-quality international education to all students. We help international students earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) through online classes.
Liberal Arts Education has a rich history dating back centuries to ancient Greek and Roman times. It emphasizes a holistic approach to learning, combining a broad range of disciplines such as humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and fine arts. By embracing the liberal arts philosophy, LAS aims to provide a comprehensive education that cultivates critical thinking, creativity, effective communication, and a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives.
Whether you’re a student, parent, or educator, we invite you to join us on this transformative journey. LAS is committed to creating a dynamic learning community where free-thinking individuals can flourish. Discover the boundless opportunities that lie ahead and embark on a path of personal growth, intellectual exploration, and global engagement.
At LAS, our ultimate goal is to create free people – individuals who are intellectually engaged, socially conscious, and equipped to make a positive impact in society. We believe that a liberal arts education fosters the development of well-rounded individuals who possess the capacity to think critically, adapt to change, and embrace lifelong learning.

Greetings,
My name is Lam Thieu, the CEO of LAS – Liberal Arts School. With a profound passion for education and a wealth of experience studying and working abroad for over 13 years, I am delighted to lead LAS Academy on its mission to revolutionize the educational landscape.
My journey in education has taken me across the globe, immersing me in diverse cultures and educational systems. After successfully completing my Bachelor of Chemistry degree at the Hanoi University of Science (Vietnam National University) in 2009, I received the POSCO Asia Leader fellowship to pursue a Master of Chemistry at Pohang University of Science and Technology (Korea) from 2010 to 2012. Subsequently, I was awarded a prestigious scholarship by the Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) to undertake a Ph.D. program in Macromolecular Science and Engineering at Virginia Tech, from 2013 to 2017. In 2018, I made the decision to relocate to Canada to further my knowledge in entrepreneurship by taking another Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship from Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University). Since 2019, I have been actively engaged as an educator and entrepreneur in Canada.
During my enriching experiences in Korea, the United States, and Canada, I have had the opportunity to witness firsthand the transformative power of education and the boundless opportunities it can offer. I am immensely grateful for the fortuity to have received a high-quality education from dedicated instructors, which has played a pivotal role in shaping the position I hold today. However, I am acutely aware of the talented individuals who lack access to such educational opportunities. These experiences have compelled me to take action in bridging educational disparities and ensuring equitable access to quality education for all individuals.
Education has the power to shape minds, broaden horizons, and create a better world. At LAS, we are driven by a vision of empowering individuals, fostering critical thinking, and nurturing a love for lifelong learning. Our team is dedicated to developing innovative programs, facilitating international collaborations, and advocating for equal educational opportunities. Together, we can build a future where education knows no boundaries and where individuals have the tools they need to succeed in an ever-changing global landscape.
Join us on this extraordinary journey as we revolutionize education and create a more equitable and inclusive world. Together, let’s unleash the power of education and pave the way for a brighter future.
Warm regards,
Lam Thieu

LAS Story
EDUCATION IS A RIGHT OR A PRIVILEDGE?
LAS’s story revolves around the fundamental question: Is education a right or a privilege? While education is recognized as a basic right by many countries and international organizations, the reality is that it often comes with a high price tag, making it accessible only to a privileged few. LAS aims to challenge this status quo. We believe that access to world-class education should not be limited by financial constraints. LAS firmly believes in this principle and is committed to making quality education more accessible to everyone in Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and developing countries. By providing equal access to education, LAS strives to create a more equitable world, where every child could learn, grow, and contribute to a better future.
By partnering with leading Canadian institutions, LAS brings cutting-edge curriculum, teaching methodologies, and faculty development programs to Vietnam and other countries. This collaboration ensures that students in these regions have access to the same high standards of education that are available in developed countries. Most importantly, we provide comprehensive training and support to educators in Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and developing countries, enabling them to enhance their teaching practices, curriculum development, and educational leadership skills. By investing in the professional growth of local educators, LAS contributes to the long-term sustainability and quality of education in these regions.
